Why it says estimated total

A daily rate tells you almost nothing once delivery, fees and VAT land on it — so every result quotes the whole trip. What it cannot know yet is the part you have not chosen.

Why a car sometimes isn't offered

Every one of these is checked here, in search — never sprung on you at the payment step. If a time cannot be booked, it is not shown as bookable.

Minimum notice

A request needs at least 2 hours before pick-up so the owner has a real chance to answer; Instant Book needs 1 hour. Hosts may raise that floor and never lower it. Delivery adds the zone's travel time on top.

12 hours

Bringing your own driver

We verify your nominated driver's licence before hand-over, which takes time — so they must be declared at least 12 hours ahead, and named at checkout rather than "to follow". Inside that, the mode disappears from search.

One slot, one booking

A pending request holds the dates while the owner decides, so two people are never both told yes. The hold is released the moment a request is declined or expires — and the host's cleaning and refuelling turnaround is inside the blocked time too.
